- How to start your decluttering journey
Now that you have the complete list, let me tell you how to get started. First, choose a room – a small room is best to start with. The bathroom is perfect! Have three boxes or bags: one for "to keep", one for "to donate", and one for "throw away". Take everything in hand and decide. If you haven't used in a year, you probably don't need it.
One more thing – don't get caught up in perfection. Move forward little by little. Even 15 minutes a day is enough. I used to do one room on weekends, and the whole house was done in two months.
And yes, once cleaned, do not forget to maintain it. Everything should have a place, and put it back after using it. If this becomes a habit, you will not need to do such a big cleaning again.
Your home is your place of peace. When you declutter, you're not just getting rid of things – you're also removing stress, creating space, and bringing order to your life. So start today, and I'm sure you'll feel the difference.
